Al-Rashid Mall

A modern brand for a classic place

In response to the rapid economic growth and changing community needs, the concept of a comprehensive shopping center tailored to the evolving demands of both citizens and traders emerged. This led to the establishment of Al-Rashid Mall in 1995, which has since become one of the first shopping centers in the Eastern Province. To align with modern design trends while honoring the mall’s rich history, we focused on developing a visual identity that reflects both its heritage and future potential. The identity was crafted to be versatile, allowing for the creation of sub-identities that complement the main design, ensuring it appeals to diverse target groups and becomes the top destination for families.

Work strategy:

At #Meshbak, our creative team began by analyzing the current situation, holding a workshop with key decision-makers to understand the existing identity and explore the new direction. This process allowed us to pinpoint the core reasons for updating the identity, ensuring that the final design aligned with the objectives and goals of the current administration. The new visual identity emphasizes the mall’s role as a family-oriented destination, with the logo concept “my hometown,” symbolizing a map of the entire neighborhood and reflecting Al-Rashid Mall’s unique geographical location and positioning. The identity was developed to be adaptable across various platforms, including prints, digital media, and spatial applications within the mall.
